    I like the analogy muchly, also this post, even tho I’d have to classify both these particular songs as some of my least favorite “countryish” songs (even the Dwight version of GTC).

  • I think you sing plenty good , and ” Better is the enemy of good enough ” ! You made a good point about Richard Thompson sort of doing the best he can with what he’s got .

    I understand where Lance was coming from : It is much better to hear someone singing a song he likes – doing the best he can with what he’s got – rather than someone singing a song he thinks fit’s his vocal style . It’s obvious [ from the performance ] that you like these two songs .

    So do I .
